Ok people here are a few pics of a job we are currently working on. The lawn pictured is Empire Zoysia. Zoysia is a lawn that is specifically bread to be a much slower grower and requires alot less mowing. It is a broader leaf species and there for provides more shade tolerance. The lawn pictured was suffering from moisture issues and some scaring from former fungal issues. We have applied a variety of treatments to improve the water holding and retention capabilities of the soil and correct pH issues. Part of our restoration process. You will see some original pics, some progress pics and what the lawn is currently looking like after 3 weeks. This is an ongoing project and the customer is happy for us to share some progress photos with you. You will see the great improvement in the turf health and given time this lawn will continue to cover the patches and thrive with ongoing care.

Sorry guys been busy lately...always a good thing! 👍 Here is a lawn we have been working on for some time with our restoration process. Ive put together some collages to try and show as honest as posible the process and results of our work. This lawn was heavily infested with w**ds and once all these where treated there really wasnt alot left. This is a couch lawn, a very resilient lawn. So you will see the progress and the increase in coverage. I will continue to post updates as this lawn further improves!. This lawn is not reticulated so keeping moisture was key.

Our 5 tips for a great lawn (established). Feel free to give us your tips

1. Mow regularly and water deep twice a week (pending rainfall)

2. Scarify in spring to remove thatch, either drop height of mower or vertimow (hire machine or call in professional)

3. Aerate lawn in spring - using lawn corer (hire machine or professional) or even a fork will do

4. PH testing of soil. Simple kits and easy to use, available from garden centres or Bunnings.

5. Slow release organic fertiliser applied in Spring, late summer and mid autumn. Nitrogen heavy in spring and low to nil nitrogen for the other seasons.
A mix of seaw**d solution and molasses every 4-6 weeks during year. Light top dress mid spring. Organic compost mix. Mix dependant on existing substrate conditions.

Here is an update on a property we have been working closely on with the owner since last year. You will see further back in our posts. Last week we attended to treat a black beetle issue and we where astonished at the quality and health of the lawn from where it has come to now.

Its a credit to the owner and just shows what can be achieved when both parties work together with high standards. The initial costs involved in the renovation have paid off and the ongoing maintenance on a healthy lawn is very minimal. The customer is now using an eco friendly fertilizer we provided them with for continued health and to protect to health of the soil we have worked so hard to liven up. Cheap chemical fertilizers destroy soil organisms and alter pH.

We wont skimp on the quality of the products we use or the quantity applied just to win a job. Its not how we operate. Im a perfectionist and driven on results. I cant guarantee lawns will respond in the same way but you can be assured the best options are being selected. .
