2024 Porsche 992 991 Carrera T

After several days of infra-red pre-baking to permanently eliminate water spots, along with extensive wet sanding and polishing, I was determined to get this car to where it needed to be from the start.

Modesta accreditation delivers results far superior to conventional products on the market, though it requires significantly more labour and skill. By adhering to strict procedures and techniques, I ensure that the owner drives away with a vehicle protected for years to come, knowing that no additional effort could have achieved a better result.

Modesta BC-04 was utilised upon two layers of P-01A Primer, with an additional layer of BC-05 slathered on top. Creating an aesthetic that only seeing in the flesh can be described.

2023 911 T - PTS Gulf Blau

This 992 Tourer had one of the poorest deliveries I've encountered since I started working with new cars in 2018. Despite its impressive specification, the car arrived in less-than-ideal condition.

The list of tasks included prepping and polishing an extra set of wheels that the owner had shipped from the US. We also needed to remove decals and badges, along with the full suite of Modesta surface protection products with sensitive areas wrapped in Paint Protective Film.

The paintwork suffered from severe industrial fallout, water spots, dust nibs, dirt inclusions in the clear coat, sanding marks, and rotary buffer trails, along with numerous scratches and scuffs.

Highlighting the disappointing delivery standards of the Medinde Porsche Centre, especially given the caliber of the car.

Working closely with the owner across all facets of this project, the end result glows with the double stack of Modesta BC-04 and BC-05 on the paint to sample Gulf Blau paintwork.

Maserati Ghibli Twin Turbo 6.

This early 90's metallic paint had certainly seen better days. As usual, a lengthy paint correction ensued. Wet sanding deeper scratches and removing some texture from repainted panels.

Once dialled in the metallic paintwork was simply stunning.

Cleaned, Prepped, Polished, Protected.
With many 2.0T engines these days being front wheel drive, or All wheel Drive, its nice to see a saloon in the rear wheel drive orientation.

It's all in the details. While the leather didn't appear vastly different in the photos, it was the feel of them that was slightly off-putting. However, once cleaned up, the wonderful matte appearance of how leather should look was restored.

Iron decontamination is a pungent process, yet it's a necessary step in the decontamination process. When highlighted in purple, this indicates iron particles lodged in the clearcoat layer. These particles can originate from various sources in the environment, such as brake dust, train tracks, airports, angle grinders, and more.

Wheel arches were cleaned without any dressings, allowing the natural water resistance of plastics to be restored.

Another subtle change was made to the exhaust tips, simply bringing the chrome around the tips without scuffing up the surrounding plastics.

Alfa Romeo Veloce

This Misano Blue vehicle was recently acquired by its new owner. Previously, it was used on a horse ranch, and as a result, bull dust and hay are found in most nooks and crannies. The owner and I engaged in extensive conversations over a series of weeks. They even shopped around for quotes, as I insist every new customer does, purely to demonstrate the difference. What attracted them was the service and level of workmanship they expected, not some slimy sales pitch or over-marketed product hastily applied to the car.

We spent the first day and a half removing the wheels, cleaning the arches and jambs, prepping surfaces with an array of chemical and mechanical aids, and removing as much dust from crevices as possible. We then devoted a further 12 hours to refining the paintwork.

Once cleansed, degreased, and panel prepped, we applied Modesta BC-X to the paintwork and plastics, along with complimentary Modesta Exterior Window Glass Coating, all cured under Infra Red lights.

HT Premier

This project holds significant importance for a wonderful family who have entrusted me with their vehicles for several years. This HT Prem marks the beginning of the next chapter in this journey.

This Sea Mist Green HT has been in their possession since it was brand new, receiving meticulous care and attention throughout its lifetime. Like many vintage cars, it suffered from inadequate drainage in certain areas, leading to the formation of rust spots. However, these areas have been repaired and improved upon so it does not occur again.

Removing the motor and all trim made my job considerably easier, especially while working in the engine bay. I focused on blocking and sanding the bay for two days to reveal the sleek black gloss paintwork.

Following that, extensive hours were dedicated to preparing the paintwork, ensuring surfaces were immaculately clean for the application of Modesta BC-06. We chose this product for its spray application, self-leveling properties, as well as its resistance to stains and remarkable water-repelling behavior.
Every detail, from bevels to nooks and crannies, window and belt moldings, and any surface that would become inaccessible once the vehicle is reassembled, received four generous layers of BC-06.
Subsequently, we ensured full Infra Red Curing of all surfaces to establish a solid bond and enhance durability.

Although there is still much work to be done before we can focus on the paintwork, stay tuned over the next few years as this project unfolds and brings this beauty to life!

Mustang "Muzzie"
Repeat customers are always given special treatment. This example was highly modified and much loved by the owner. Fully resprayed (quite well I might add) and coated previously, the owner was after more "pop".
A paint correction and Modesta BC-05 fits the bill quite well.
Short wave Infra-red curing not only increases durability by up to 50% it also changes the chemical state of the solvent carriers. Heating these carriers converts structures from small molecules to hardened slate which creates the glass barrier.
Next time ask your detailer if they infra red cure their coatings!
