Been spending plenty of time in the cane fields lately chasing boars and managed to get onto a few real bruisers. Some proper big old pigs around at the moment, and a bit of persistence has started paying off. Good times, good company, and getting it done for some local cane farmers along the way. đŸ—đŸ”„

Back in the same cane paddock, same time of night as last year
but this time we came prepared.

This big fella gave us the slip before, but we went back, worked out exactly where we went wrong, and fixed our mistakes. Safe to say—he didn’t get a second chance.

He was a real handful, and just one of FOUR big boars removed from this farm in a few hours. That’s serious pressure taken off the land, crops, and surrounding area

Persistence, patience, and doing your homework pays off every time. 👊

During the week, two of our team members headed out at night to assist a local cattle station with feral control. They successfully removed several problem animals, including a particularly large dog that posed a real risk to livestock.

Work like this is essential for protecting stock and supporting local producers.

If you’re dealing with feral animals in your area, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for assistance.

Tonight was a little different for us.

We were called in to help locate two lost dogs stuck in thick, swampy terrain right in the middle of town. With long grass and difficult ground making it nearly impossible to search on foot, we deployed the thermal drone.

Not long after takeoff, we picked up their heat signatures.

Using the drone, we were able to guide the team directly to them and safely walk them out — both dogs are now home where they belong.

A great example of how this technology can make a real difference when time and conditions matter most.

đŸŸ Let us know if you need our assistance in any way.

When you find pigs using the drone, the real work begins. Years of experience tell you which blocks they’ll break for and how they’ll try to slip out. Cut off the exits, position the hounds where they’ll come up trumps, and let the plan unfold.

This thumper tipped the scales at 138kg — hard-earned teamwork from sky to ground. đŸ’Ș🐗

Dont forget to let us know if you need some pigs to be taken care of we have heaps of methods available to control pigs.

Couple strong boars hit the ground this week on a local cane farm. The cane’s getting tall and thick, but nothing stays hidden for long when the drone goes up.

These hogs have been tearing up rows and pushing deep into the paddocks — not anymore. Another step toward keeping the damage down and the farm in good shape.

Big nights, sharp eyes, and good results. đŸŒŸđŸ—

It’s been a wet start to the year, but we’re still down in the mud, battling the elements and getting onto some solid boars. No need to burn fuel driving around when we’ve got a finder in the sky doing the hard work. Let us know if the wet has bought the pigs out and want them sorted

REMEMBER THIS.
NO EXCUSES. NO FORGETTING.

I watched the speeches.
I listened to MPs talk about “concerns”, “balance”, and “unintended consequences”.

Here’s the reality:
If you voted FOR this bill — you are DONE.
I don’t care how good your speech sounded.
I don’t care how many “reservations” you claimed to have.
I don’t care how hard you shook your head while pressing the button.

You still pressed YES.

In the NSW Legislative Assembly, roughly 80% of MPs voted this through.

That includes MPs from Australian Labor Party, Liberal Party of Australia, and Australian Greens. Let that sink in.

About 85% of the speeches raised problems.

But the votes didn’t match the words.
That tells you everything you need to know.

From this point forward:
If a politician supported this bill,
If they voted it through,
If they helped turn “concern” into law

They will NEVER get my vote again. Ever.

Not in state elections.
Not in federal elections.
Not by preference.
Not quietly.
Not after a handshake.
Not after a photo-op in camo.
They can come back to the bush.
They can shake hands at field days.
They can talk about “listening” and “working with stakeholders”.

To me — it’s just wasted air.

Exactly like the speeches that meant nothing once the vote was cast.

This post is here so nobody forgets.
Screenshots don’t expire.
Voting records don’t lie.

REMEMBER WHO STOOD UP.
REMEMBER WHO SOLD YOU OUT.

VOTE ACCORDINGLY WHEN THE TIME COMES AROUND.

Quick trip up to the Bowen region to scope out a new spot! 📍 We were managing some pigs that have been tearing through a local mango plantation. Managed to secure a few nice ones and clear out the area. We’ll definitely be heading back up as soon as the ground dries out! 🐗

Big day for the SRT team!
Headed out to set up our new trap on a local cane farm, sent the thermal drone up to scope a spot out and spotted a few boars straight away. Dogs hit the ground and did their thing — 4 boars down.
On the way home we checked another block and picked up another 2, including this absolute unit at 129 kg.
What a cracker! đŸ”„đŸ—

With the recent storms bringing some much-needed rain relief to local cane farmers — but also stirring up the pigs — the SRT team has been busy! Over the past two weekends, we’ve removed 18 pigs and a few dingoes from what’s left of the canefields.

If you need a hand with feral pig removal or have noticed increased activity in your area, please let us know — we’re here to help
