We would like to personally thank our clients for being so flexible this week as the Director put her hand up Monday and Tuesday to help tackle the Deep Creek Fire.

This fire is ongoing and Sarah would appreciate any clients to get in touch on flexibility so she can let the CFS know her availability to fight this thing.

Of course our clients are a top priority - we appreciate all community commitment in our fire danger season.

“As I start to wind down after my 32 hours awake, and a night shift fighting the Tooperang fire, a little reflection creeps in.

We watched the sun come up and our eyes started stinging from exhaustion, but we bounced off each other to keep our minds sharp. When I crossed the doorway at home I was met by rested children, happy to see their Mummy because they still worry about her.

Behind most firefighters, is a support that allows us to do what we do and without them, we couldn’t fight these fires/accidents. For me, it’s my Mum.
Fires don’t time themselves around whether you have your kids or not. Yesterday I called Mum asking if she could help out as we urgently needed night shift personnel. She drove all the way from the Barossa (Region 2) after work to help. Without her, there’s no way I could’ve done my bit for our own Region.

Firefighting is an effort put in by everyone. So thank you Mum, for helping our community.

And now, for some rest. 🔥 🥱 😴”

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

This year has been chaotic, ups and very, low lows. Some of our clients lost loved ones, beloved pets, and I too followed suit - losing all of my very much adored and loved fur and scale babies at the end of this year.

We return to normal functions the 5th of January.

I would like to wish our HSN Cleaning family a very happy new year. 🥳

A large number of our clients are neurodivergent AND or have neurodivergent children. 🧩

“I saw this video and it struck me. This morning was a challenge, one of my kids went non verbal and became dysregulated; crying loudly. The other kiddo kept trying to get ready for the school run, and then after holding it together became dysregulated at school - stimming with loud noises and needing lots of physical movement to calm down.

When I had helped one calm down, the other one needed help. It means the mornings for me become nearly impossible to be on-time. 🫠

I could be the parent that dismisses their emotions and drops them into school with my hands up surrendering, leaving them battling with themselves to try to self regulate. That normally equates to a severely horrible day for the kids, constantly getting in trouble because they can’t get back to calm without help.

Instead I text my clients with “The kids are battling big emotions… I’ll settle them and be there soon. Send all the caffeine….” 🏃🏽‍♀️

I am ALWAYS met with a variation of “Totally understand. Take your time, the dust awaits.” 🙃

As a neurodivergent child, now a mother to neurodivergent children - I have never felt so seen until this video.

And if you’re a parent wondering if you’re all alone in this world - I hope it helps you too.” 🤍
