Beware of the “dealership special” details.
You’ve found a car you love, you’ve been approved finance or have been saving hard to make it your own, you’re talked into the extra money for paint protection and a pre sale detail, you wait patiently for pickup day, you’re super excited when that day comes to take it home only to find out once you give it its first wash there’s multiple fine scratches, defects, high spots or missed areas around the car.
Doesn’t sound right does it? Sadly this kind of thing happens all the time. Unfortunately in most dealerships it’s high rate fast turn around “ everything is expected to be done yesterday “
Corners get cut, things get missed, poor preparation is carried out and a sub par end result is often the outcome. It’s not always the detailers fault as they are just following the chain of command to meet a deadline - it’s not all dealerships, but most don’t have skilled, super experienced, qualified techs on hand that are truely passionate about a perfect finish either.
The dealership makes another sale, the salesman gets their commission, the detailer gets his weeks wage & unfortunately the buyer draws the short end of the stick 😓
To avoid this, before signing away on a in house package, do some research elsewhere & seek out to a professional that specialises in A1 finishes and knows a thing or two that will use quality products and produce spectacular results.
Not only will you save a couple dollars and Potentially ALOT of headaches but you’ll know your car is in safe hands getting the treatment it deserves and setting you off on the right foot.
I’ve rescued more disasters than I can poke a stick at and pride myself on each and every single job rolling out the door because the customer deserves nothing but perfection 😘👌🏼

A closer look at last weeks all black RAV-4. The unforgiving colour or the automotive world that tells no lies. This one has had many adventures, touch ups, re sprays and course washes during it’s lifetime end the paint was rather defective, swirly, dry and starting to oxidise ( flatten off / loose clear appeal )
Vehicle was purchased for their child’s first car and they wanted to set her off on the road with a fresh start.
Here’s what was done to this one -
•An extensive interior & exterior deep clean.
•Clay mitt pre polishing Prep.
•Headlight Correction.
•1 stage colour enhancement polish.
•Wax sealer/topper
•Glass cut and hydrophobic coating.
•Trim & Tyre Dressing
Massive flip around from this one considering how aged & weathered the paints condition was in. Chasing and correcting every single defect on this one would have been nearly impossible and a super expensive - timely process to carry out. Outweighing the vehicles cost in terms of money spend on purchasing/fixing VS what it’s worth and up keep.
