One of these animals kills 20–30 people every year in Australia.
The other is the second most venomous snake in the world, and is responsible for most snakebites, yet all snake species combined only cause 1–2 deaths per year.
But you never hear anyone saying, “Better kill all the horses” after another 20–30 tragic horse-related deaths.
Funny how fear works, hey? 🐎🐍
Snakes don’t hunt people, they defend themselves. Horses generally don’t mean to hurt people either. Both are just animals doing animal things.
Maybe the problem isn’t the animal…
Maybe it’s how we understand them.
