To all our valued customers who have clothing and goods in our store.
Customer clothing and goods will be the first priority as we work towards restoring our business.
Following completion of this lengthy process, plant and equipmentent and building rectification will take place.
Our insurance company has appointed a national restoration company whose role it is to manage the inventory within the shop, restore garments or manage the compensation for the customer.
This is a detailed process and one that needs to be done correctly.
We have all customers information on file with garments noted.
Customers will be contacted personally to discuss the replacement or return of customer’s goods.
This is a massive undertaking occurring in trying conditions. The restoration team are well underway and will keep us informed of further updates as they come to hand and in turn, you will be duly informed.
In terms of our business functionality, unfortunately, this will take place over a longer timeframe.
Our plant and equipment has been severley damaged as well as the interior of the shop. Due to requiring replacement of specialised equipment and rebuilding of the infrastructure and interior, the time frame will potentially be lengthy - months rather than weeks .
With each passing week, the plan for a return becomes clearer. Please be assured that progress and updates are a continuing process. The work behind the scenes is enormous with many people involved, all working hard to provide you with an outcome.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to reach out to us with support, assistance and offers of office and warehouse space. The generosity shown to us from our industry colleagues, customers, family, friends as well as complete strangers has been extraordinary and means so much to us.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish one and all a very merry Christmas 🎅🏻 and a safe and happy New Year. 🎄
Best wishes for the festive season,
The Team at Georges Dry Cleaners.
