Today we were out in Murwillumbah, giving a solar system a clean. The owner mentioned their solar wasn’t performing like it used to — and when we jumped up on the roof, we found out why! One of the isolator switches had caught fire 🔥,melted and burnt out.
Luckily, the fire hadn’t spread to the rest of the panels or the roof cavity.

🔥Thermal imaging picks up hot spots.

Hot spots occur where the photons are being converted to voltage but not being released into the system, or where the voltage flow is blocked or resisted.
