Karoonda Fuel Stop – then and now and the bits in between
Looking back through these old photos and comparing them to where the site is today, we feel very proud to have been part of the history of this place and to have put our own stamp on Karoonda Fuel Stop.
After an amazing 7 years, we are proud to announce that Karoonda Fuel Stop has now been sold.
Over the past 7 years, we have loved every part of the journey. We have loved being part of Karoonda, the community, the local events, and all the people who have supported us along the way.
While we still had even bigger plans for Karoonda Fuel Stop, we have decided that now is the right time for us to move on and chase some of our other dreams with our family.
As for the sale, it will be a slow transition over the next 90 days while the purchasing party gets their head around the fuel side of things and their future plans for the site. They are also sorting out other matters not directly related to Karoonda and have asked that we stay involved throughout the transition.
For those following along at home and asking about the price and details of the sale, the purchasing party has asked for privacy, so we won’t be sharing those details. What we will say is that we achieved what we set out to do, and we are happy that the site will remain in Australian hands.
The new owners will be around a bit over the transition period doing different things, and they would love to have a chat and get to know the locals. Some of you may already know who it is, as the property is under contract with a person from the wider district, with local community links and a rural upbringing.
