Yes it is heading for and will reach the coast from Gympie, Maryborough, Hervey Bay to Bundy. These multi cells may intensify to have large hail so we will keep a close eye on them. 👉Lets look at our core region of SEQLD, CQLD & NENSW first then I'll cover VIC, ACT the rest of NSW and the rest of QLD - Sunday overtime rates hey!
🔴Along the QLD & NSW coasts from Rockhampton to Grafton in the PINK circled area there is a deep moist Northerly flow and coastal trough. It is expected to generate showers and rain areas during the day, afternoon and tonight. Most places could see 25-50mm but SOME could get under another North South rain band and get 100-200mm.
🔴The highest risk areas for the heavy rain & flooding are between about Hervey Bay & the Gold Coast + hinterland areas - well that is where I think it is anyway. Last night inland Wide Bay got pumped with 100-200mm!
🔴There are storms some severe firing right now already in SW QLD & NW NSW - these will move east during the day and keep going almost all night. They will come from the west into the red circled area with black arrows from 7pm tonight and keep going well into tonight.
🔴They will have heavy rain, flash flooding, damaging winds over 100km/h , large hail up to 6cms and frequent lightning.
