Couldn’t have said it any better! 🧼
Let’s talk about fixed rates/price per job!
What are you paying for and what is the difference between paying a fixed rate over hourly?
You’re paying for a service and a pre-agreed outcome. This ensures all your expectations are met and ensures budget certainty for you not based on the efficiency of a cleaner where a slower cleaner may take 3 hours to complete a job and a faster cleaner may take 2 hours; both achieved the same result. With charging hourly rates if you were to book in for just say a 2 hour clean not all your expectations may be met due to running out of time.
How are fixed rates priced?
Every business is different however for ours we charge based on:
-Scope of works
-Size of home/building
-Condition
Other factors we need to consider are:
-Wages
-Taxes
-Super
-Workers Comp
-Q Leave
-Travel
-Laundry allowance
-Uniforms
-Products
-Tools
-Equipment
-Servicing equipment
-Insurances
-Bookkeeping
-Accounting software
-Sick days
-Along with other business overheads and profit
When you walk into a Salon you don’t ask how many hours this will take and pay them what you believe they should be making per hour or if your hair cut was done in a more timely manner you don’t ask for a discount or when taking your car into the Mechanics for a service, you don’t say this only took 1hour $300 is a lot for just 1hour and defiantly wouldn’t walk into your local Fish & Chip shop asking for only 20 minutes of cooking.
Timing will always vairy pending on factors such as different build up on surfaces and as mentioned above one cleaner may be more efficient than another.
Our experience, knowledge and efficiency shouldn’t be penalized.
