Situated in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, Thiele House Retreat is a secluded 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom short stay escape, sleeping up to 10 people comfortably (4 people in partial house option). An extensive breakfast is supplied for your first-morning stay with free-range eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans, along with cheese, dips, water biscuits, artisan bread, butter, 2 litres of orange juice, 2 litres of milk, and a bottle of Mojo Sparkling Chardonnay. The house has two wood-burning fires with wood and kindling supplied. Thiele House has 3 bedrooms with king-size beds and access to ensuites - and another room off the bedroom upstairs that has a Queen size double bed and two single beds plus, if needed, a fold-out sofa bed. A child's cot is also available. Thiele House Retreat is located on the outskirts of the Main Street of Hahndorf, the oldest surviving German settlement and just 20 minutes from the CBD of Adelaide, via the freeway. Australia's best wineries and cellar doors neighbour The Retreat with the likes of Sam Scott Wines, Somerled, Shaw & Smith & Nepenthe, and many more, just minutes away. Head past the Cellar door towards the Retreat, walk over the babbling brook bridge, and step into our gardens, green velvety grass, eucalypts, dappled sunshine in Summer & the delightful orange blush of Autumn, a stunning location for an outdoors function, a marquee, a wedding ceremony and/or reception or a family gathering. Our secluded courtyard under the vines is also an ideal place for intimate gatherings or maybe that gourmet BBQ. Hahndorf is in the heart of the Adelaide Hills with access to the Southern Coastal Regions and the McLaren Vales or the wine regions of the Barossa & Clare Valleys. Beautiful and uncrowded leisurely drives to these areas are recommended for a relaxing and picturesque day's outing. The Amy Gillett Bicycle Trail is only minutes away along with day walks on the Heysen Trail. Hahndorf has many fine old Pubs and restaurants along its historic street, all within a minute's walk From Thiele House Retreat. This stylish and luxurious accommodation has been designed to allow those staying to soak up the Adelaide Hills wine district and quaint Hahndorf Township, whilst taking time to relax and recharge. All-inclusive - up to 8 people, linen, cleaning, use of entire house and back garden. Sunday to Thursday rate, $610 per night, for 6 persons, for a 2-night stay only. Extra persons $150 per person for 2 nights minimum stay. Weekend rate Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday: $630 per night for 6 persons. Extra persons $200 per person for 2 nights minimum stay. Easter, minimum 2-night stay. Christmas - minimum 3-night stay if any part of your stay falls during the following dates: 23rd Dec to 2nd Jan. New Year - minimum 3-night stay from 30th Dec 2nd, 2014 - Jan 2nd, 2015. Weekly Rate - 7 night stay $4,000 for 6 persons. For 2 additional people, $350 for 7 nights to cover linen, cleaning, water, and power, etc. PARTIAL HOUSE - Sun - Thurs Inclusive Only: $600 per night.
