What is Orange Basket, and What Do We Do?

At Orange Basket Community Services, we believe that a job can be life-changing.

We are a South Australian registered charity and Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE). Our mission is simple: to mentor, train, and create genuine, paid employment opportunities for people living with disabilities.

We tackle unemployment head-on by operating local businesses powered by our incredible participants:
1. Orange Basket Cafe: A warm, commercial cafe in Hackham, Lonsdale, Seaford (and soon to open at Christie's Beach) staffed entirely by people living with disabilities.
2. Orange Basket Laundry: Delivering commercial and family laundry services while providing hands-on workplace training.
3. Micro Services: secure paper shredding and cleaning, creating pathways tailored to each individual's goals.

A job brings more than just a paycheck—it brings purpose, independence, and a sense of belonging. Hear directly from our team about what working at Orange Basket means to them.

Skip the winter laundry headache entirely! Bring your baskets to Orange Basket, and let us take care of the rest.

The laundry situation is getting out of hand this winter. 🥶🌧️👕

It’s freezing, it’s raining, and that clothes airer has been sitting in the lounge room for three days straight. If you're currently smelling a shirt to see if it’s actually dry or just "cold," we see you.

Don't spend the rest of winter playing chicken with the rain clouds! 🌥️❌ We got you fully covered!

✨ TODAY IS THE DAY! ✨

Doors open at 5:30 PM for our 2nd Fundraiser Dinner at The Terrace Hotel Adelaide, and our participants are absolutely beaming with excitement! 🧡

Look at these smiles—this is what pure joy, pride, and community look like. Tonight, we are all united for one powerful mission, because we know that a job can be life-changing. Every auction bid, raffle ticket, and donation tonight directly creates meaningful employment and independence for Aussies living with disabilities.

A massive thank you to our guests, team, and wonderful Silver Sponsors (Talent Academy and Inclusion Management) and in-Kind Sponsors (LJ Ho**er Adelaide Metro and ECCOMI) for standing with us.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER! Let’s raise our hands, celebrate our amazing participants, and change some lives tonight! 🙌🥂
