People using Old Narrandera Rd this afternoon are advised there is reports of a large branch on the road close to Pine Hope Rd.
Exercise caution.

At 2.20am this morning 4/11/25 a white Ford Falcon with a tray back body was seen driving very slow in Junee St.
It came down Federal Park Rd and past the silos doing a U turn at the Earth Park then slowly back past the old school.
It sped off down Federal Park Rd when the security lights at the school activated.

A timely reminder to lock doors, cars, sheds and gates.

If you notice suspicious behaviour taking place in the town take note,
Thieves are about and small towns are considered easy targets.

Operation "Labour Day 2025" begins at midnight tonight until 11:59pm on Monday 6th October 2025. This is a statewide operation focused on the associated factors related to road trauma - speeding, drink/drug driving, fatigue, occupant restraints and distractions.

While people venture out to celebrate and enjoy the long weekend, we ask drivers to focus on getting to their destination safely. By avoiding distractions and preparing for your journey we can keep everyone safe on our roads.

"My name is Kimberly and I work for IKC a company that has a work site between Narrandera and Grong Grong.
A few nights ago we lost some adjustable brackets off of a truck travelling along Newell Highway.
I was wondering if you would be able to put up a post about this or if you are able to supply any information?
We have contacted local police, who are also looking"

Great news! A man missing off the Newell Highway has been located safe and well this morning!

Shortly before 9am yesterday (Thursday 6 March 2025), officers from Murrumbidgee Police District – with the assistance of the SES and VRA – commenced a search of bushland off the Newell Highway, Morundah, for a 50-year-old man.

Inquiries have established that the man may have suffered a medical episode and walked into bushland about 4am after stopping the truck he was driving along the side of the road.

About 8am today (Friday 7 March 2025), the search recommenced.

About 9.05am, the man was located a short distance from where he was last sighted.

The man was located safe and well.
NSW ambulance transported the man to Narranderra hospital as a precaution
