The back patio is looking very special!

This is natural stone - Silver Travertine. It will be delightfully cool in summer, great for entertaining! And its laid in a French pattern which gives it that real WOW factor ❤️

Stage 2 of our big reno has begun.
We are now squished into our beautuful new extension whilst the existing house is renovated. Everything is changing and at present it's just a shell, with every wall having been stripped and some moving!

So happy with the progress on this reno....and so many beautiful details!
The extension is almost done, kitchen benchtops go in next week and then the final plumbing & electrical fitoffs.

And then?

Well, we are about to start "Stage 2" - the renovation of the existing house. Let's go!

Main bathroom reveal!

Our extension is almost complete, and we will be moving in there soon so that the existing house can be renovated.

Hasn't been an easy 6 months living thru this, we had no roof at one stage lol, but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. And seeing how each room comes together has been so rewarding.

This bathroom has had so much input from many of the suppliers that I work with on the daily in my role at Timberline, and I'm so grateful for everyone's advice. As a designer, trends come & go but I feel like I've created a timeless space that my family and friends will enjoy for many years to come.

I'm absolutely loving how this bathroom is coming together. The colours and shapes are so organic.

The best part of any renovation has got to be KITCHEN time!

The heart of the home deserves a space that will enhance togetherness, foster great conversations and encourage creativity.

After designing some great kitchens for friends and clients over the past few years, it's now back to my turn!

This space has occupied my mind and my Sketchup app for over a year now, and has evolved so much in that time. Originally a Hamptons style kitchen, it has morphed into a modern-vintage vibe and I'm so excited to see this space finally come together - let me know what you think of the colours!

Renovation update!

Finally, external walls are being added to the extension 🎉🎉🎉 .
It's been a little chilly of late ❄️ though the blue sarking you see is very insulating & keeps us warm inside the existing house.

From pouring rain over the past few days (weeks!) to a lovely sunny day today.

We are still under a tarp which has lost its charm now. It's starting to get cold, and this week I became quite ill with a weird type of flu or covid
It was a challenge being here & being sick in the midst of a big reno. It's dusty, dirty, noisy and none of these are helpful when you're unwell! But all good, trying to remain POSITIVE about the end results and I'm on the mend now 😊

The builders were here today and I'll post tomorrow with an update on what they were up to, but in the meantime here is a video from a few nights ago, the weather was hectic!
Very grateful that this big blue tarp kept us dry, but I'm literally dreaming of our new roof haha 🤣, not long now 😇
