I asked for a sign. Then the swans started to sing. 🦢✨
The other morning, I was walking along the waterfront with my dog, and my heart just... sank. There were yellow signs. “WARNING: PESTICIDE SPRAYING IN PROGRESS.”
I watched a council worker spraying chemicals to kill “flat leaf w**ds” right on the edge of the water. Right where our dogs walk. Where our kids play. Where the fish and the bird life live.
It made me feel so uneasy. Is this really the best we can do? To poison the very nature we claim to love, just to kill a w**d? 🌿🚫
I kept walking, and I felt this heavy question in my soul: “Am I on the right track with this mission? Does the world really need another ‘clean’ business?”
As I approached the jetty my dog loves to walk and explore something quite profound, happened.
A group of black swans swam started to sing. A soft, melodic song I’d never heard before. 🕊️🎶
In that moment, the tears just came.
I felt nature’s endorsement. I felt the swans saying: “Yes. Keep going. We need a better way.”
