The Corona Virus is a highly contagious disease that has been categorised as a Worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry items completely, or
Use products with the EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims (examples at this linkpdf iconexternal icon) that are suitable for porous surfaces.
The World Health Organisation recommends cleaning hard surfaces with a 70% alcohol mixture. Wash your hands for 20 seconds or more with soapy water regularly to kill the Corona Virus;
World Health Organisation recommends wearing a face mask if you are caring for a Corona Virus patient.
The World Health Organisation states that: “People of all ages can be infected by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill from the Corona Virus. WHO advises people of all ages to take preventative steps to protect themselves from the Corona Virus, for example by following good hand hygiene and good respiratory hygiene.”
