This heating job was a bit of a challenge for our customer in Redhead. With no 3phase power onsite and the 22m lap pool requiring approximately 35kw of heating capacity to be sized correctly, it was decided the better option was to fit 2 smaller single phase Rheem heat pumps in parallel, a Rheem controller and a Waterco circulation pump to heat the pool.

The controller gives the customer the capacity to activate the heating remotely from any location. This is proving to be a popular option with customers where, like this property, it is used as a holiday home and heating is only required when the property is in use.

A new stainless steel hand rail installation and Waterco salt chlorinator to improve access and swimming conditions for a customer in Gloucester.

As much as I dislike being on roofs.... We removed the old redundant Solartherm pool heating system off the roof, redirected some pipework underground and installed a Rheem heat pump and controller for our customer in Old Bar.

The controller allows the heating/cooling of the pool to be controlled via Rheems app on the customer's phone or tablet.

A customer in Gloucester came to us after deciding replacing his old halogen pool lights was going to be a bit more of a challenge than he anticipated....

The new light brackets weren't a direct bolt on fit and the light cables weren't long enough to get the lights completely out of the water to change the cables over on to the new lights.

After draining some water out of the pool and lots of custom trim work on the new light brackets and old wall mounts, we got the new lights fitted, tested and working for our customer.

🤔🤐 2 other local shops couldn't work out why this pool was losing large amounts of water.... One even added an automatic water top up system a solution....🤷‍♂️

A quick look in the skimmer box revealed all the answers! One tube of 2 part epoxy later and we have an interim fix in place and a pool that doesn't lose water.

Next step is to workout a long term solution to keep the pool operating for years to come....

One of winters jobs for a customers newly purchased property in Taree West was to relocate the filtration and solar heating systems away from the fence so the fence could be repaired and the ground leveled below it.

A few pipes and the electricals had to be replumbed and redirected to work with the new slab position. Access to the equipment for general use and maintenance is now much easier with the new shed installed over it all.

With spring nearly upon us, winter has been a bit of chance to wind down after a crazy summer season and catch up on lots of lose ends.

Whilst there hasn't been a lot going on out on the job site's, there have been a couple of bigger jobs happening, interstate trade shows to attend and a lot of time in front of the computer renewing maintenance contracts and all the boring stuff that doesn't make interesting content.

The poor work truck has clocked up 200k in just over 3.5 years of use and abuse a couple weeks ago as well.

Things will start to busier over the next couple weeks as it warms up and I'll have more stuff to post up when I remember to take more photos of things.....

See you on the pool deck!

As we cool off into winter, April, May and now June have been a bit of blur!

All the usual daily pool and spa challenges like leaks, equipment failures, replacing lighting system, finishing off lots of ongoing bigger jobs, a couple of race meetings, along with moving the business and household off the coast and into lovely down town Gloucester haven't left much time to stop and take a breath!

With winter upon us, it's time to stop for 3 seconds, take a deep breath, start and finish a few big winter jobs for customers and start the planning for the coming season......

See you all on the pool deck!
