Some critters are a pest tech's colleague!
This sleepy Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua scincoides) was basking in the middle of the road, and refused to shift his preferred sunbathing spot to a safer area even with cars zooming by.
They are great companion critters in your yard! Blue tongues see your beetles, crickets and caterpillars as a tasty treat, and are especially known to love eating snails.
They have been known to cause this pest tech to jump back 3 or 4 feet when unexpectedly encountered, as those stripes and scales are reminiscent of our Tiger snakes when first sighted π
So if you're lucky enough to have a full-time, onsite reptilian pest tech, let them go about their business freely. They'll help with the critters you don't want around!
Shoot us a message on Facebook if you need anything handled on your Blue Tongue's RDO.
