We set the table long before anyone arrives. Magnolia branches down the middle, a glass at every place, cheese boards out and waiting, and the wines lined up ready to pour.

This is The Unruly Table, a vineyard tasting brought to where you’re already staying, so there’s no driving, no queueing, and no counter between you and the people who grew the fruit. Five wines 🍷 poured one at a time, cheese 🧀 or chocolate 🍫 matched as we go, and a mystery pour near the end that usually gets the whole table arguing happily.

Five wines. Five chocolates. And a lot more taste testing 😋 than we’ll admit to.

The right chocolate beside the right wine changes everything. The Verdelho into soft vanilla custard. The Shiraz meeting dark chocolate and holding its own.

Handmade by our friends at Essenze Chocolate in Caringbah, and part of the experience we bring to you. No counter, no crowd, just five wines walked through one at a time, wherever you’re staying in Broke.
