I think about this more than people probably realise, why I actually do this, not just plumbing as a job, but why I built it the way I did.

It was never about being the biggest or the cheapest. It was about turning up when I said I would, fixing things properly the first time, and treating someone's home like I'd want mine treated. That sounds simple enough, but you'd be surprised how many people have never actually had that from a tradie before.

When someone tells me they finally found a plumber they trust, that's the whole reason I do this. Not the vans, not the tools, that.

You just gotta get it done and get on with it.
Friday arvo, last one for the week - so you just roll your sleeves up and crack on with it. Located the pipe underground, dug it up, and got it fixed properly before knocking off.

The drip you've been meaning to look at. The drain that's a bit slower than it used to be. The toilet that only flushes properly if you hold the handle a certain way.

None of it feels urgent enough to actually book someone in for, until it somehow becomes the thing you're thinking about every single day.

This is the beginning of a house drain. Doesn't look like much right now, but it will in a day or so.

No one sees the measuring and working out that goes into getting to this point - but once it's on the ground, it starts to come to life.

Despite all your best efforts, sometimes things just don't go to plan.

Brand new hot water system, but it turned out to have a faulty element straight from the manufacturer.

What did we do?

Went back to site, installed a temporary HWS so the client had hot water while we got the new unit fixed under warranty - no cost to the client, all covered, because our warranty's part of everything we do and that's just how we roll.

Ideally nothing would ever go wrong, but some things are out of your control.
That's when warranty matters, and that's when you want the support from the guys who actually did the work.
