The Chimney Phoenix has 3 rules:
1/ find and fix the cheapest problem first, considering Musts first, Needs second and Wants third.
2/ if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
3/ if it is broken, repair it for a guaranteed result, so that either it never has to be repaired again, or if it does, its efficient and less costly.

Bonus Rule: We set consistent standards so that one fix is best fix for all.

The infinite aim of The Chimney Phoenix is to build the fireplace industry up and to higher standards until all Stoves and Fireplaces are Safe, Efficient and Clean, and we eventuallt cut ourselves out of a job.

We hope to bring back a world where waste and planned obsolescence become capital crimes, not capital con jobs for endless profit.

From this silly home "handyman" nonsense.... to.. what a glorified chimney sweep can do.
Now they can have the fireplace burning bright, without smoke coming the room.
Always talk to your local professional specialist first. Fireplaces might be ancient technology.. but they still have specific and enacting science behind them, that not everyone is privy to.

A Before and After of a job I completed just before Christmas.
This old fireplace had a busted 80s gas unit in it. My client had it removed by a licensed plumber.
Which allowed me to come in and remove the old Gas Cowl and mortar up top. Re-mortar the top to make a mount for her new Flomet Rotary Damper Cowl (that can be closed in the off season). I also provided her with a new Fire Grate and painted the front of the fire place where the bricks surrounding the fireplace where the old gas unit used to be.
All ready for winter with a brand new/old (live) open fireplace.
