Wet weather and warmer days are upon us, which also means perfect conditions for mosquitoes to breed. Council is taking action to prevent large mosquito populations from emerging.

Council crews are applying larvicide to known breeding areas throughout the region. Contractors will commence mosquito control works with spraying public areas across the region. Residents are encouraged to steer clear of the work sites while contractors are spraying.

What can you do to minimise mosquitoes?
✅ Cover up with loose, long-sleeved clothing and shoes.
✅ Use a high-quality insect repellent, especially if outdoors at dusk when mosquitos are most active.
✅ Screen windows and doors or use mosquito nets.
✅ Remove standing water on your property.
✅ Clean roof gutters and drainpipes.
✅ Ensure screens on water tanks are intact.

We had perfect weather for this years annual Fighting Chance Golf day held at The Glades Golf Club
Fighting Chance is a non-profit organisation which exists to enrich the lives of young adults with disabilities in Australia. This year approximately $13,000.00 was handed to the Charity. ⛳️

Our Diehards U19 boys have done it! Sweltering conditions and plenty of ticker to get the job done and be crowned 2024 Under 19 TRL Premiers!

What a game! What a team! See you all back at the Leagues Club and let’s mount another well-earned cup on the wall.🏆
