Cleaning the heart of the home—the kitchen—can feel like a big task, but with the right approach, it becomes manageable and even satisfying.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to deep cleaning your kitchen:
🧽 Step-by-Step Kitchen Cleaning Checklist
🧼1. Declutter Surfaces
Remove everything from countertops.
Put away items that don’t belong in the kitchen.
Toss expired or unnecessary items.
🧼2. Clean Dishes & Sink
Wash all dishes or load the dishwasher.
Scrub the sink with baking soda or a disinfectant.
Clean faucet and handles.
🧼3. Wipe Down Surfaces
Countertops: Use an appropriate cleaner for your surface type (granite, quartz, laminate).
Cabinets & Handles: Wipe down with a mild soapy solution or a vinegar-water mix.
Backsplash: Scrub any grease or splatter.
🧼4. Appliance Cleaning
Microwave: Heat a bowl of water with lemon for 2 mins, then wipe clean.
Stovetop: Remove burners and soak if needed. Scrub any burnt-on residue.
Oven: Use the self-cleaning feature or baking soda paste.
Fridge: Toss expired food, wipe shelves and drawers.
Dishwasher: Run a cleaning cycle with vinegar or a dishwasher cleaner.
