Have you ever wondered what termite damage to timber actually looks like.
Here are 2 small pieces of timber from different angles.
You can see what we call “mud workings” which have been left behind. This is how termites travel unseen through Timbers and up the exposed sides of Timbers.
You can also see what we call the “honeycomb effect” which gives us a clear indication that termites have been eating through a piece of timber.
If you ever find evidence of termites the most important rule is cover the damaged area with duct tape and call an expert so it can be assessed immediately.

It’s Termite Treatment Season….

For us this means it feels like we spend more time under house than we above them 😆😆😆

BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t get a Termite infestation if you live in a house built on a Concrete Slab!!!
The damage that Termites can cause for concrete slab homes can be more detrimental simply due to the fact that we can’t see their paths, giving us no indication of where they may have traveled and how much damage they may have caused.

We recommend annual inspections as a first point of action to protect your home….
