Casual up to 5 days p/week with the opportunity to be Full Time after probationary period.

Due to an increase in client demand, we’re looking for a Truck Driver / Machine Operator to join our team. This position has the opportunity to work from 6.30am Monday-Friday and up to 5 days per week. Claymore Contractors is located in Sheldon (Capalaba) but service all areas on the Northside, Southside & Gold Coast.

HR Licence essential but training will be provided for position. Machine ticket (Skid Steer) a preference, but not essential as training can be provided and you will mostly be truck driving and assisting the onsite crew. The ideal candidate will be capable of physical work, working outdoors and be a team player. You will also need a white card, but can obtain one after being successful in employment.

You will be responsible for Truck driving and transporting construction waste from job sites to the waste facility. If you have a skid steer ticket, machine operations will be site levels, site cleaning and loading construction rubbish into our trucks. Some other works may include assisting the site crew with tidying job sites by picking up building material offcuts from around site.

Note: New residential building sites only. Our works are removal of new building material offcuts & materials no longer required for the house construction. No hazardous material removal works & no demolition works or removal.

Before and after of a site we've completed this week for our standard Stage Clean works.
Our standard works are emptying the mesh cage, removing all construction waste and cleaning around the site to keep it safe for all trades.

Something a little different today, but not unusual.
This client wanted 2x gravel crossovers for entry points, plus additional gravel onsite to create an off-street parking area for all trades during construction.

What is a Backblade?
A Backblade is carried out after the slab has been poured and ideally before frames are installed. Works include:
- Installing plastic around the slab as a moisture barrier.
- Creating soil levels so water runs away from the slab to prevent water ponding around the slab.
