I just want to give a massive shoutout to our community groups, volunteers, and sponsors who provide so much for our town!
I was just thinking about my family's weekend and what we did from Thursday night to Sunday afternoon. It all involved a not-for-profit and volunteer-based group! That's without adding gymnastics and touch football during the week!
I witnessed and heard many local businesses donate prizes, time, or money to keep all these things running. I also saw local business owners, employees, and school students volunteer their time! Not only for one weekend, but they do it throughout the different seasons and year to make it all possible.
I think if we all take the time to reflect and remember how our community keeps moving forward, we will only get stronger! Try and give a local business a go, or ask a community group if they would like a volunteer! You just never know; the idea you have may be their solution!
Great work, Chinchilla, and thank you to everyone involved in making our town what it is and will continue to be.
