Absolutely honoured to be able to detail this rare beauty, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400
- Exterior Detail
- 1 Stage paint correction (Hood only)
- Engine bay clean
- Quick interior clean + leather dressing
The owner was extremely impressed with how clean it was between the rear bumper, an area he struggles with. The tyres were extremely muddy, after being driven on a dirt road. They were completely rejuvenated, along with tar stains on the fenders. The engine bay received a water less clean, removing leaking oil and coolant, and the metals were polished. Buffer holograms on the hood were removed, and swirls on the hood were reduced. The leather was left looking healthy and soft to the touch.

This CX-9 needed some serious work...

Since this vehicle is parked outside 24/7 and rarely washed, the paint wash in quite poor condition, dull, faded and scratched. However the paint`s shine and vibrancy has been 100% restored via machine compounding and polishing. Synthetic waxes and paint sealants will insure this car remains protected from UV light for about 12 months. Large scratches were also improved, and dry plastic trim was moisturised and restored. The interior was very dirty and had a strong odor, but through deep shampooing of the seats and carpets the interior both smelt and looked fresher.

1 Stage Paint Correction includes a full exterior detail, paint decontamination which removes harmful invisible surface level contaminates and iron fallout (those little orange flecks in your paint) to create a glassy and smooth to the touch finish. Then a machine polish to create a deep gloss and shine, and remove minor imperfections. Finally a coat of wax protects the paint and further enhances gloss and the vibrancy of the colour.

Large stains on the suede inserts of the seats have been greatly improved, giving an overall cleaner look to the interior and exterior (as it is a roadster). Build up of bodily oils on the steering wheel has been completely removed (bit too much hand cream Elyvin😊) and the overall colour and texture of the interior surfaces have been restored and the surfaces have been protected from harmful UV light, especially important as this is a convertible.

If you have a keen eye you may notice some paint defects, this is because a good detail on a neglected vehicle will expose any defects. This vehicle will require paint correction in the future (hopefully carried out by Turbo Detailing :)) and touch up paint/respray.

90% of scratches cause by road debris, tree branches and door dings were completely removed, bar scratches that penetrated the clear coat, these will require further attention, however I’m sure that you can agree that the scratch removal has made a significant difference to the appearance of the car

Manohara Bale’s sexy 86 has been returned to its former glory

The swirls and marks, especially around the rear fender have been completely removed, and deep scratches on the wing have been made far less noticeable. The body was hand waxed and the wrap was given a layer of protection to block harmful UV rays and road contaminates from damaging the paint and wrap.
