half of the vehicle was wet sanded to get through pin stripe scratches and isolated defects, the other benefit to sanding is the layer of crust that's removed from etchings, clear coat damage from contamination and water spotting

Deep defects and swirls in most prestige cars, due to harder clear coats (glasurit/ppg for example) require extensive work to correct the paint without swelling and ruining the finish

the process consists of wet sanding, which is quoted as spot sanding or full body, rotary cutting to reduce heat and accurately remove isolated scratches then an additional 2 stages of polishing to achieve our standard of finish
