I never really knew how to ask for help.

When I had my third baby, I was surrounded by some incredibly kind people.

But the ones I’ll always remember are the ones who didn’t wait for me to figure out what I needed.

They just showed up. 🥹

And now, as a mum of three, I know just how much those little acts of kindness can mean.

That’s why I created the Fourth Trimester Care as part of The Tidy Mum Project’s Motherhood Collection.

Not just a one-off clean, but someone who keeps showing up for Mum during those early weeks.

Okay… this one means a lot to me. 💛

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve probably heard me talk (a lot 😂) about how much I believe mums need a village.

It’s one of the reasons I created The Tidy Mum Project & The Village Gift in the first place.

But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realised I want to do more than talk about the village.

I want Tidy Mum to actually be part of it.

Because when I talk about having a village, I don’t just mean having people around you.

I mean having someone notice what needs doing and take it off your plate.

Someone helping you get the house ready before baby comes.

Someone walking into the newborn chaos and saying, don’t worry about the house, we’ve got it.

Someone showing up week after week during that fourth trimester.

Someone bringing you a coffee because, quite frankly, sometimes that’s the level of care required. 😂☕️

That’s the kind of village I want us to be.

So today I’m ridiculously excited (and slightly terrified 😂) to introduce…

MEET TIAHN 💛✨

I think it’s about time I officially introduced you to the lovely Tiahn… although some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting her! 🥰

When I decided to grow The Tidy Mum Project, I knew finding the right people mattered more to me than simply finding people who could clean.

I wanted someone kind. Someone caring. Someone who understands what it’s like when life with little people gets chaotic. And someone I could genuinely trust to walk into another mum’s home and make her feel supported, never judged.

And I got very lucky with this one. 💛

Tiahn is a mum of two little ones herself, aged 2½ and 5, so she VERY much understands the juggle. 😆 She has previous cleaning experience, works incredibly hard and has the most ridiculous eye for detail.

I knew I’d found my person when I turned around during one of her first cleans and discovered she’d organised the children’s books.
Nobody asked her to. She just noticed them.

But actually, it’s the little things outside of cleaning that tell you the most about her.

This morning, while I’m still feeling absolutely rotten, she turned up with a coffee for me. I told her off and said she absolutely does NOT need to spend her money buying me coffee.

Her response?

“No. We’re a village. If you need a coffee, I’ll bring you one.” 🥹

And THAT is exactly what I want The Tidy Mum Project to be.

Not just people who come into your home and clean it.

A little village of women who genuinely care about the mums we’re helping, and about each other. 💛

Tiahn has already been doing an amazing job alongside me and is now starting to look after some of our lovely families independently too. I’m ridiculously proud to have her as part of this little business I’m building.

So please give her a big Tidy Mum welcome. 🥰

I LOVE a beautifully organised cupboard as much as the next person 😂 but the best organising systems aren’t necessarily the prettiest ones.

They’re the ones your family will actually use.

If something is constantly being left in the same place, instead of fighting it, ask yourself:

Could its “home” be closer to where we naturally use/drop it?

Sometimes the answer isn’t trying harder to keep your house tidy.

Sometimes you just need to make putting things away easier. 💛

MESSY MONDAY 😂

A little reminder that the woman coming to reset your house does, in fact, also live in chaos. 🤣

I spend my working days cleaning, tidying and resetting other people’s homes…

Then I walk through my own front door and my three tiny humans have apparently been running an unsupervised demolition company.

And you know what? This is exactly why I never judge anyone else’s home.

Homes are lived in. Kids make mess. Washing multiplies overnight. Somehow there are always 47 cups in places cups have no business being. 😂

Sometimes we keep on top of it. Sometimes we absolutely do not.
