MATTY'S MONDAYS:

This Monday I’m sharing with you my other greatest love in this life, (aside from my partner and our children) which is music. Unlike surfing, I don’t need to spend hours driving just to enjoy this one, and generally have some type of music playing almost every minute of the day. My music tastes are fairly eclectic, some friends have even described as ‘weird’ as if I’m playing music aloud, you can often hear the likes of Fleetwood Mac, or Bill Withers, followed by Ice Cube, followed by Queens of the Stoneage, with me loving every minute of every different genre. This is one reason I love doing the work I do, as it allows me to wear headphones all day to clean to great music or a good audiobook/podcast. I genuinely believe there is a music genre for every emotion we can have so music really is my fuel a lot of the time.

MATTY'S MONDAYS

This Monday’s fact about me may surprise you, considering this year marks a decade I’ve now been living in Australia’s one and only land locked state, but my absolute favourite thing in the world to do is surf. I’ve been surfing since the age of 15, preferring the longboarding style of the sport for about the last 15 years. My current board is an 8 footer and currently my favourite break in this part of the world is Narrawallee, in the Mollymook area of the south coast.

Hi guys, my name is Mat and I’m the owner/operator of Elbow Grease Cleaners Canberra. In my efforts to start posting on our page much more regularly, I thought I’d start with making Mondays a day where I can tell our lovely clients a little bit about me, so if you end up booking any regular cleans with us, you’ll know exactly who it is cleaning your home (me!)
So I’ll kick these Mondays off with a fact about me you hopefully wont hold against me-which is that I’m a Kiwi! From an area known as Hawkes Bay on the east coast of the North Island. I have been living in Australia since 2006-Canberra since 2015, but prior to that, Bondi Beach, Great Keppel Island QLD, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Central Coast to name a few.
