16 YEARS OF MEMORIES, ONE BIG FINAL CLEAN! 🧽✨

After a long 16-year tenancy, this property was ready for a fresh start, and our ladies were absolutely there to make it happen! 😍

This bond clean included not one, but TWO living spaces!

🏡 Main house: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom

🏡 Granny flat: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom

After 16 years, there’s bound to be plenty of built-up grime, wear and tear, and those little areas that haven’t seen a proper deep clean in quite some time!

From bathrooms and kitchens to cupboards, walls, windows, blinds and tracks and all those finer details, our girls got stuck in to give this property the attention it deserved.

There’s something so satisfying about giving a home a fresh start after so many years. 🥹

🌧️ IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE 🌧️

Due to the severe weather conditions currently affecting our region, we have made the decision to cancel all scheduled cleaning services for today.

As a business owner, I have a responsibility that goes far beyond making sure our clients’ homes are cleaned.
I also have a team of incredible women who have families, children and loved ones waiting for them at home.

And their safety will always come before any cleaning appointment. ❤️

Our girls spend a significant amount of their working day travelling between properties, transporting equipment and moving in and out of homes. With the current weather conditions, it’s simply not a risk I’m prepared to ask them to take.

We know how much our clients value their cleaning appointments, and we genuinely understand the inconvenience that last-minute changes can cause.

However, one thing I will never compromise on at Mums That Scrub is the wellbeing of the women who work so hard to look after everyone else’s homes.

Homes can be cleaned another day.
Appointments can be rearranged.
Our people are irreplaceable.

Our office team will be in contact with affected clients regarding rescheduling arrangements.

To our wonderful clients, thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding.

💛 PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLOSURE 💛

Just a little heads up that Mums That Scrub will be closed Monday 5th October for the King’s Birthday public holiday. 👑

Our team will be taking the day to enjoy a well earned break with their families, and we’ll be back to normal operations from Tuesday 6th October.

Any messages or enquiries received over the long weekend will be responded to once we’re back in the office on Tuesday!

It’s been a while since we’ve done a good transformation video… so here’s one with a pretty special story behind it. 🥹

We received a last-minute call for a mumma who had unexpectedly gone into labour 4 weeks early, so we did what we do best.

We shuffled things around, got the team moving and made sure home was one less thing she had to worry about.

A fresh, clean space ready for Mumma and her beautiful new baby to come home to. 🧼✨

Sometimes it’s more than just cleaning. Sometimes it’s about showing up when someone needs you most.

Local Business Awards 2026 🏆

What a special night celebrating so many incredible local businesses.

At just 18 months in business, we are so incredibly proud to have Mums That Scrub named a finalist for Service & Trade, and for Grace to also be recognised as a Business Person of the Year finalist!! 🤯

Although we didn’t walk away with the win, but being recognised alongside so many established and hardworking businesses already feels like such a huge achievement for us.

A massive thank you to every single person who voted for us, books with us, recommends us, shares our name and continues to support Mums That Scrub.

We genuinely wouldn’t be here without the support of our amazing community.

Goodmorning all,

A little bit of honesty from me. 💛

The last couple of weeks have been hard..

If I’m being completely transparent, we haven’t been at our best when it comes to communication, and for that, I’m truly sorry.

Running a business means people often only see what’s happening on the outside. They don’t always see what’s happening behind the scenes.

Our beautiful Operations Manager, Kay, recently lost her mum. Watching someone you care about go through that kind of grief changes your priorities very quickly. Family will always come first at Mums That Scrub, and it always will.

At the same time, we’ve had team members move on to new opportunities, welcomed new faces, dealt with sickness through what is our first winter with a much larger team, and simply tried to keep everything moving while still showing up for our clients every single day.

None of that is an excuse.

It’s simply the truth…

We’re human. We hurt. We get sick. We grieve. We adapt. We learn. And sometimes, despite giving everything we’ve got, we still fall short.

If you’ve experienced slower replies, changes to your booking, or felt like we haven’t communicated as well as we normally do, I genuinely am sorry.

The one thing I can promise is that we will never stop owning our mistakes and we will never stop trying to be better.

Behind this scenes are real people. Women who are mums, daughters, partners, friends and carers. Women who celebrate life’s highs together and carry each other through its lows.

This business has never been built on perfection.
It’s been built on people. People who care deeply, work incredibly hard, own their mistakes, and get back up every single day to do better.

To every client who has shown us grace, understanding and kindness over these past few weeks… thank you.
You have no idea how much it has meant.

We’re finding our feet again, we’re strengthening our team, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

WE’RE FINALISTS FOR THE 2026 MORETON BAY LOCAL BUSINESS AWARDS – SERVICE & TRADE! 🏆💛🎉

This is our first year being nominated… and we’re finalists. 🤯🥺

I’ve spent the last few hours trying to find the right words.
Truthfully, this business was never part of my plan.

I wasn’t chasing awards.
I wasn’t chasing success.

I was simply a single mum trying to earn a little extra money to provide for my boys.

But life has a funny way of changing your plans.

The more homes I stepped into, the more families I met, the more I realised people weren’t just looking for someone to clean.

They wanted someone they could trust.
Someone who genuinely cared.

At the same time, I saw another need…

I met women who just needed someone to give them a chance.

Women returning after having children.
Women rebuilding their lives.
Women who’d spent years believing they weren’t enough because no one would employ them.

Having rebuilt my own life, I knew how much it meant for just one person to say,

“I believe in you.” “I’m proud of you.”

So that’s what Mums That Scrub became.

Not just any other cleaning buisness.

A place where women could rebuild their confidence.
A place where kindness mattered.
A place where every home was cared for as though it belonged to our own families.

Today, I don’t see an award.

I see every woman who has worn our shirt.

Every client who opened their front door and trusted us.
Every recommendation.
Every review.
Every booking.
Every early morning.
Every late night.
Every tear.
Every sacrifice.
Every person who believed in us before we believed we’d end up here…

To my girls…

Thank you.

You are the heart of this business, and this recognition belongs to you every bit as much as it belongs to me. 💛
