Our boy is home.

A heartfelt thank you to Kristina and the amazing team at Heritage Vets for the love, care, and compassion you showed our boy Chase over the past 9 years.

Even though Chase didn’t always appreciate being poked and prodded, he genuinely loved coming to see you all. In fact, I swear sometimes he’d find something wrong with himself just so he could have a visit and soak up all the attention!

When we unexpectedly lost him last Wednesday, Emily and Jacinta were there when we needed them most. They gently carried him in, treated him with such dignity and respect, and took care of everything that night before Tim from Rainbow Bay Cremations collected him the following day. Knowing Chase was in such caring hands brought us comfort during one of the hardest days of our lives.

To Tim and the team at Rainbow Bay Cremations, thank you for the kindness, compassion, and care you showed our beautiful boy. Thank you for bringing him home to us so quickly and for the beautiful work you did. The respect and dignity you gave Chase throughout the entire process meant more to us than words can express.

Losing Chase has left a huge hole in our hearts, but knowing he was cared for by such wonderful people every step of the way has made this heartbreaking journey a little easier.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving and caring for our big boy, Chase (2017–2026). He was one of a kind, and we will miss him every single day. ❤️🐾🌈

Today I came home to find my big boy had crossed the rainbow bridge without me by his side. He’d simply dozed off in his usual sunning spot and never woke up.

I’ll miss our nightly arguments over how much room and blanket I was allowed to have. I’ll miss telling you to shut up when that freight-train snore got going. I’ll miss the constant following me around, the snuggles, and always having my shadow beside me.

You were the best bloody dog, Chase. I hope wherever you are now, you’re running around with no aches or pains and your kidneys are fully functioning again. You left this world on your terms. You have left a massive hole in our hearts and home.

I’ll miss you forever, big nuts. 💙🐾
