73 years of dry cleaning innovation from Egypt comes to
Brunswick. For Carlos Mawoud, the ‘art’ of dry-cleaning is in his blood. His family has been in the business since 1945, beginning in Egypt with his grandfather. Carlos has breathed new life into the family tradition in Australia, with Eporo, a chemical-free dry cleaning and garment care business, at 336 Lygon Street, Brunswick.
‘Back in the

old days (in Egypt), everything was done by hand and chemicals were used, for cleaning and dyeing clothing,’ Carlos said. ‘But we learned quickly to research chemical-free dry cleaning, which is better for the customer and of course on-site cleaning staff.’

Eporo Dry Cleaners is one of Melbourne’s few chemical-free, wet/dry, dry cleaners, and as Carlos says, ‘Our unique organic process actually cleans better, with no residual odours, and preserves clothes
better.’

CLEVERCLEAN name change to EPORO.

Originally opened in January 2013 this Premium Dry Cleaners (or as they prefer to say Textile Cleaners) has become a reliable part of the community. The business has recently changed hands and rebranded as EPORO, same environmentally focussed cleaning practises but with the enthusiastic Carlos now at the helm.
