Our Tech has just put a fuel docket on my desk for 68L diesel. This is our first fuel docket to hit over the $200 mark. We try very hard to keep our prices the same as previous years or at least make very minimal price rises. Two years ago, we were paying roughly $120 for a full tank of fuel. We're know everyone is feeling the pinch right now and we're thinking of all our trade colleagues and all our clients as we face rising costs. We promise to keep our prices as fair as possible.

Hibbett's Technician Tom had a helper with him yesterday. It was The Ray White Little Ray of Giving Elf. Our wonderful Property Manager Caitlyn and her Team at Ray White - North Lakes organise a gift giving campaign each year for the Children's Hospital Foundation. We are pleased to donate to this wonderful cause. Some photos of Elf helping Tom do a pest control service; cockroach gel baiting, trying on the pest spray backpack and finally taking a lunch break. Elf was returned safely to assume duties with other tradies.

All Hibbett's Pest Control PL Technicians on site at Samford Valley today to install a BASF Pest Control AU Termidor High Efficiency Termite Treatment. If termites can get into this subfloor so can our technicians Liam, Chris, Kelly and Tom to ensure a full treatment is applied. Homes with subfloors are very susceptible to termite infestation which can go undetected until serious damage is found.

Man down in aisle 3? No just Hibbett's Pest Control PL Senior Technician Kelly laying down on the job ensuring the termite chemical treatment is installed as best as possible. Removing decking boards to gain access to soil areas is all part of the job. Well done to Kelly and all our Technicians at Hibbett's for what has been a very challenging couple of weeks. After a very busy week, Hibbett's Termite Technicians Kelly Croton, Liam Hibbett and Chris Fedrick completed a BASF Pest Control AU Termidor HE chemical treatment installation using not one but two of our BASF High Pressure Machines. This allows for drill hole spacings at 600mm apart leaving a very aesthetic finish. Plus, there was no need to drain and move the water tank and the treatment was installed to Australian Standard. It also helps when you work for an amazing client. Thank you Matthew for removing the required deck boards in preparation of this chemical treatment.

Our Senior Technician Tom carried out a pest control service today and our client’s cat was so pleased with the treatment, he tried to hitch a ride home with Tom.

Hibbett's Technicians were on the road yesterday installing 2 BASF Termidor chemical treatments to homes in Kurwongbah and Samford Valley. Whilst at Kurwongbah Kelly and Chris dug out 4 active inground termite nests and in Samford Valley Liam and Tom found an active nest in the front garden. Another busy day for the team at Hibbett's protecting homeowner's most valuable assets against termite ingress! Clearly, this home at Keperra has not had a termite inspection for some time (if at any time). Our Senior Termite Inspector Liam Hibbett was asked to inspect this home today due to termite mud workings visible from the upper level cornices.
Liam's inspection of the subfloor noted extensive active termite mud leads up the concrete house posts, over the metal ant capping and up into the timber flooring. Termites have made their way up the concealed timber framing of the home and have infested right up into the roof void. An extensive remedial treatment is now required to eradicate all active termites, followed by a full termite treatment.

I found these two photos in our Hibbett’s family archives. I started Hibbett’s Pest Control PL as a sole operator in 1996, and my wife Tracy joined me a couple of years later. These photos were taken on 5th August 2003 when Tracy was doing a termite barrier at Strathpine. This was our first pest vehicle which was set up for us by Garrard's Pesticides. That is a bottle of BASF Pest Control AU TERMIDOR sitting on top of the tank. Tracy had already been a qualified Pest Technician for over four years when this photo was taken in 2003, and Hibbett’s Pest Control PL are now proudly in our 30th year of being a family owned and operated business looking after our many valued clients.
