Dear Bizzi Beez Customer,
As you are aware the advice from the Australian government and Chief Medical Health Officer changes daily as the COVID-19 situation evolves. At the current time, 21 March, the government’s advice to the community and small business alike is to follow hygiene recommendations and social distancing. Small business and service providers that are unable to work from home have NOT been directed to close their operations at this stage.
I advised all our franchisees to pass onto their customers on Monday evening, 16th March, our initial communication regarding the company’s advice regarding the operation of their cleaning franchise. I hope you received this.
The majority of that information is still valid and conforms to government guidelines however we have added in some extra measures.
At this time a clean and sanitised home is essential in helping combat this virus and your cleaner is still equipped and safe to continue to clean your home as they currently are.
The current advice is:
• If your cleaner is in good health and has not been exposed to the virus they are able to continue to perform their service. Our cleaners have been advised to monitor their own health closely and to cancel cleaning if they feel unwell.
• Our franchisees have been advised to contact each customer via text the night before cleaning to check if customers are well before coming to their scheduled clean.
• Most of the time houses are cleaned when no one is home so they do not come into contact with many people during their normal working day, however we understand this will change as more people will work from home.
• In order to follow social distancing recommendations, if you are home when they clean you can choose to leave the house (go for a walk, drive, spend some time in your back yard or terrace) or stay in one room away from them while they are cleaning (eg, your study, lounge room)
• They will wash their hands as they enter every house before they start cleaning
• They will wear gloves to every clean and dispose of gloves after every job
• They always use new cloths in every house and they are washed every night
• Our franchisees are given commercial grade chemicals to clean your home including disinfectant. They can increase the use and strength of disinfectant in your home especially on door handles, light switches, railings etc. Please speak to your cleaner about the areas you would like to have extra sanitation (keeping in mind the type of surfaces in your home and whether they can have chemicals used on them)
• They can use your chemicals and cloths during this time if you would prefer
• It is preferred that payment is made by bank transfer. If cash is unavoidable please put the correct payment in a sealed envelope.
• As government advice changes so will the advice to our franchisees and their customers.
We hope that you can continue to support your cleaner for as long as possible and know that they are there to ensure the cleanliness and sanitisation of your home at all times.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at head office on 1800 646 477
