Hey You,
I get it, you’re probably exhausted.
Somewhere between bottles, bum changes and breakfast with the baby on the hip bawling, (do they EVER stop crying?) you’re meant to be practicing self-care and meditation? Yeah, right?! When?
I see you, and I understand you because I am just like you. I’m an ordinary Mum of two who knows how hard life can get, and how difficult it can be to reach out for help.
I remember the long days and the even longer nights.
The house was a mess, the washing was piled higher than Snoop Dogg, we hadn’t eaten anything home made in weeks and my roots were showing so much that I’d convinced myself that it could eventually just look like a balayage job.
Wow, I remember I just needed a minute.
But on the other hand, what would everyone think if I actually said I needed help? What if I admitted that I wasn’t Wonder Woman in plain clothes; what if they found out I was struggling and that I was wearing underwear that was older than my kids……
I hear you.
We don’t all have a Tribe. We’re not all part of a village or even remotely close to being comfortable with the thought of joining one.
Mum’s groups and playground politics? No, thank you.
It’s ok, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, it will be. Together, we can do it. No fuss, no judgements.
Between You and I, reach out and see what we can achieve.
Love, Bec.
