I have been working at the Laundramat for nearly 9 years now and have met some beautiful, wonderful people whom I regard as close friends/family.
I try my very best to keep the Laundramat clean and tidy and to help people that don’t know how it all works as much as I can.
One of our policies is DO NOT LEAVE CLOTHES UNATTENDED
So when things have been left there for a while I put them out the back with me for safe keeping, These are people’s personal items and I like to think I have kept them safe till they get back.

Sorry for the LONG RANT
But a complaint was put on the internet about me stealing someone’s basket and a belt, which is a lie
Never ever would I steal from a customer or anybody for that matter
It would have been put out the back for safe keeping

This accusation has upset me very much
Thank you for your time

WELL !!!!!!!!!!Who killed the poor chook at the Laundromat 🤣🤣🤣😩

DON’T SLEEP IN A DIRTY DOONA!

Did you know that your should clean you doona at least twice during the winter season?

Regular cleaning of your doona will ensure it’s longevity & warmth. Importantly – a thorough clean is the only way to remove the oils, skin cells and dust mites that naturally accumulate with use.

Luckily, most doonas can be machine washed. However, many home washing machines are not big enough to handle a doona. Don’t panic! Our HUGE self-serve front loader washing machines easily do the job.

With all the talk about the coronavirus pandemic, what’s the official word about washing clothes and best laundry practices to reduce infection risk? While we can’t help you find a store that sells toilet paper, we’ve rounded up some official advice on how to treat clothes that may have been exposed to Novel Coronavirus.

It is important to understand and communicate the safety of fully drying linen in commercial dryers that will achieve thermal sterilisation as per the Australian standard. (71 Deg C for 3 minutes). High heat setting on large tumbler dryers will achieve this provided the linen tag laundry recommendations allow it. So laundromats also provide a valuable and much needed service during this time.

Wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry from an ill person and then discard after each use. If using reusable gloves, those gloves should be dedicated for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces for COVID-19 and should not be used for other household purposes. Clean hands immediately after gloves are removed.

If no gloves are used when handling dirty laundry, be sure to wash hands afterwards.

If possible, do not shake dirty laundry. This will minimize the possibility of dispersing virus through the air.

Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry items completely. Dirty laundry from an ill person can be washed with other people’s items.

Clean and disinfect clothes hampers according to guidance above for surfaces. If possible, consider placing a bag liner that is either disposable (can be thrown away) or can be laundered.

Hope this helps
Thank you
Gary and Kathy 🙂
