🚛 Casual HR Driver Wanted 🚛

Richardson’s Transport is looking for a Casual Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver for the next couple of months.

You’ll be driving our liquid waste tanker, with only minimal manual labour required. You won’t be on your own – an assistant will be travelling with you.

This role is perfect for someone seeking flexible, casual work, with the potential to turn into a more permanent position for the right person.

✅ What we’re looking for:

• Current HR Licence
• HR driving experience (preferred)
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently

Semi-retired drivers are encouraged to apply – we’re happy to accommodate the right person!

💧Recovery Water Tank Cleaning Rebate💧

Rebates are available for rural properties impacted by the Victorian 2026 bushfires.

If you are on a rural property and:
• rely on rainwater tanks for domestic use
• have disruption to safe drinking water
• are not connected to reticulated (town) water

The rebate supports cleaning roofs, tanks, and gutters to restore access to clean drinking water.

Support is for domestic drinking water needs, not agricultural, stock or garden purposes.

Update from our end:
Our water tankers have been on the move, operating across several locations supporting fire response and coastal flood zones.

It’s been a big week or so, and our thoughts are with everyone affected in these areas.

A massive thank you to our staff who have gone above and beyond — long days, tough conditions, and always getting the job done. We know our customers and the wider community truly appreciate the service.

In a bushfire FFMVic and CFA may need to take water from a landholder’s private property for firefighting using tankers or aircraft.

While both agencies are taking steps to reduce their reliance on private water sources, it’s important to know that if essential water is taken from your property during a bushfire you can request for it to be replaced.

Essential water is water that is needed for:
💦 health of residents, pets
💦 health and productivity of stock
💦 agricultural and horticultural crops, permanent plantings and intensive industries.

Update on our bulk tankers:
We assisted with fire operations yesterday and again today. The tankers have since returned from Skipton area and are now down at Carlisle River, where fires have started from lightning strikes over night

Thinking of all the locals in that area. A big effort by all the volunteers, firefighters, agencies, and contractors on the ground — and also to their families back home keeping things going while they’re out there doing the job.

Thanks to our crew who are operating the bulk tankers and the other guys who keep our day to day ticking along.

Two of our bulk water tankers are responding to the fires in the Vite Vite and Skipton areas.
We also have others on standby if needed, but let’s hope not.
