I recently saw another cleaner post something similar and it totally made sense...

You should know who's coming in and out of your home 😊

So for those who are new here, I thought I'd introduce myself properly.

🤎 My name is Bree and I'm the owner and sole operator of Whistling Gums Cleaning Co.

🏡 I live in Bannockburn with my husband Will and our three beautiful daughters. My twin girls keep me on my toes, and our youngest little whirlwind, Daisy, ensures life is never boring.

🧽 Before becoming a cleaner, I've worn quite a few hats. I've worked in Community Services, Aged Care, Early Childhood Education and even as an Ambulance Call Taker for 000. Safe to say, staying calm under pressure and helping people has always been a huge part of who I am.

🐨 I'm a lover of all things Australian. If you've followed my page for a while, you'll know I have a soft spot for our native wildlife, especially kookaburras. If I could have one sitting on my shoulder while I cleaned, I probably would.

🐱 I'm also a cat lover and firmly believe every home is improved by the presence of a furry little supervisor.

🖤 I have lots of tattoos and a few piercings, which sometimes surprises people when they first meet me. Underneath all the ink though is just a country girl who genuinely cares about people and takes enormous pride in her work.

☕ Coffee is a necessity, not a luxury.

🎶 My music taste is all over the place. One minute I'm listening to something calm and relaxing, the next it's Metallica or Electric Callboy blasting through the speakers.

🛍️ In my spare time I enjoy shopping and spending money I probably shouldn't be spending. I'm fairly certain online shopping counts as a hobby at this point.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 More than anything though, I love making memories with my children. Whether it's family adventures, birthday celebrations, wildlife spotting, holidays or simply hanging out together, those moments mean everything to me.

✨ As a cleaner, I'm a little obsessed with details.

I notice dirty drains.
I notice shower tracks.
I notice fingerprints on chrome.
I notice cobwebs in corners.
I notice the things most people walk straight past.

That's probably why my cleans take longer than some others.

One beautifully transformed ensuite for a gorgeous mumma-to-be 🤍👶

Every surface has been cleaned, detailed and sanitised. The shower has been treated with a mould prevention product to help keep the space as fresh and hygienic as possible for both mum and fresh bubba 🌿

This is why I love what I do. Taking a space that feels tired, neglected or overwhelming and bringing it back to life ✨

Safe to say this shower is now ready for those precious newborn snuggles, late-night resets and a well-deserved moment of peace for Mum 💕

And yes... I think a little pat on the back is deserved for this one 👏🤎

This beautiful mumma is due to welcome her first little bubba any day now 🤍👶

Her wish? To have her ensuite and shower fully detailed so she can enjoy those precious post-baby shower cuddles in a space that feels clean, hygienic, fresh and as close to new as possible ✨

There's a lot of work ahead of me this morning, but helping create a calm, sparkling space for a growing family is exactly why I love what I do 🌿

Yesterday's kids' bathroom deep clean ✨

Can you see the difference? 😍

Soap scum, grime, fingerprints and daily family life slowly build up without us even noticing. Sometimes all it takes is a detailed clean to bring everything back to life 🌿

This is exactly why I love bathroom transformations so much. The shine returns, the glass becomes crystal clear, the chrome sparkles, and everything feels fresh, sanitised and inviting again ✨

No quick spray and wipe here. Just good old-fashioned elbow grease, attention to detail and a determination to leave every space looking its absolute best 🤎

How’s this for an ensuite shower transformation 😍✨

Mould.
Thick orange build up.
Soap scum.
Dirty grout.

…all brought back to its freshly installed self 🌿

And the craziest part?
This was all done WITHOUT a handheld shower head 😅👏

People often underestimate just how much time, detail and physical work goes into restoring bathrooms properly but this right here is exactly why I love what I do 🤎

Nothing beats watching a tired, dull shower become sparkling, fresh and crystal clear again ✨

A little insight into why I charge what I do and why so many clients come to me after trying the “cheaper cleaner” route first 🌿

Lately I’ve had a few questions about pricing and honestly… I get it. Cost of living is tough for everyone right now. But I think people sometimes underestimate what a high quality cleaner actually does behind the scenes.

I regularly receive messages like:
✨ “I’m not really happy with my current cleaner.”
✨ “It’s just surface cleaned.”
✨ “My cleaner is unreliable.”
✨ “They suddenly disappeared.”
✨ “I’m looking for someone more detailed.”

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting affordable services but cheap and detailed rarely go hand in hand.

What I provide isn’t a quick spray and wipe.
It’s:
🌿 Detailed cleans
🌿 Drains cleaned
🌿 Stainless steel polished
🌿 Crystal clear shower glass
🌿 Skirting boards, tracks, build-up removal
🌿 Attention to the tiny things most people overlook
🌿 Reliability and consistency
🌿 A cleaner who genuinely cares about the final result

This job is incredibly physical. We spend hours vacuuming huge floor spaces, scrubbing bathrooms, lifting, bending, mopping, cleaning mould, grime and things most people don’t even want to touch themselves.

And yet cleaners are one of the only trades/services people consistently try to negotiate down on.

No one questions:
• a plumber
• an electrician
• a hairdresser
• a beauty therapist
• a gardener

But cleaners are somehow expected to undercharge while still delivering premium results.

Today I received a quote of over $5.5k to paint 3 bedrooms and an ensuite refresh. “Pretty straightforward job” apparently.

Meanwhile cleaners are:
✨ Breaking their backs all day
✨ Waking up with swollen sausage fingers
✨ Living on anti-inflammatories
✨ Cleaning unflushed toilets, grime-filled drains and ovens untouched for years
✨ Travelling house to house
✨ Washing and sanitising cloths and equipment every night
✨ Running an entire business behind the scenes

…and still being questioned on pricing.

The reason I have a waitlist and such loyal clients is because people eventually realise the difference between a rushed surface clean and someone who genuinely takes pride in resetting their home 🤎

Premium cleans come with:

✨ Consistency
✨ Trust
✨ Attention to detail

And trust me… the clients who value that are the ones who stay 🌿

A little shower and drain appreciation post ✨

I completely forgot to take a before photo of the shower, but I got the glass so clean at one stage I genuinely had to touch the door because I couldn’t tell if it was open or closed 😂

Now THAT is crystal clear 👏

And the drain…
Hair.
Grime.
Mould.
Built up muck.

Back to looking almost brand new again 🌿

The little details honestly make the biggest difference and are probably my favourite part of cleaning 🤎

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that no matter how clean a home is… there is ALWAYS one rogue hair in the bathroom immediately after cleaning it 😂

You can vacuum.
You can mop.
You can detail every surface to perfection.

And somehow… one tiny little hair survives the apocalypse and appears the second you take the after photos ✨😂
