Returning to work is a little less daunting when you have a fabulous outfit to wear!

Back to work is the reality for many of us at the moment, and it can actually be quite daunting ... particularly if you’ve had a couple of weeks off!
This week has seen the return to my Sunday planning sessions. Why spend time planning on a Sunday? By heading into the working week planned, organised and prepared I just feel like everything else becomes easier - a little stress free if you will, because the little things (that’s are actually BIG inconveniences mid week) are dealt with.
While hubby is sounds asleep on a Sunday morning, I’m busy meal prepping, ironing and outfit prepping for the entire week. Yes it takes time, but I think of the time I gain back during the week ... not to mention saving my sanity 😅.
What little tips and tricks do you do to help make the working week easier for you?

HOW TO CREATE A TIMELESS WARDROBE
The simplest way to do this, is to invest in simple pieces in neutral tones.
Unfortunately, we live in an age where fast fashion is shoved down our throats, and the idea of wearing an outfit twice is shocking for some. So how do we get around this? My age of rule of choose less, but choose well is number one on my list. Second would be invest in classic shapes/ styles and in neutral colours - don’t forget by neutrals, I mean neutrals for you. The colour your wear most. Pink is one of my neutrals 🤣.
By following both of these, you create a wardrobe that can be worn for years to come, and because you’ve invested in* quality fabrics, it will last. You can update this wardrobe by adding a couple of pieces a season that might catch your eye - this could be shoes, accessories, or items of clothing in seasonal colours.
Next time you’re reaching for the trend item, ask yourself, “why am I buying this? Am I buying because everyone else has it, or am I buying it because it aligns with my personal style?”

That awkward stage between Christmas and New Year where you are sick of left overs, but haven’t been to the supermarket 🤣 it’s also the period when time does not exist - no one knows the date, day or what time it is ... you just exist 🤣🤣 do you agree??
P.S. how gorgeous is this top from I wore this recently with white jeans, but here I’ve belted it so add a little definition around my waist, while wearing it with a skirt 💁🏼‍♀️

A beautifully cool sunrise this morning with rain off in the distance.
Today is Boxing Day, which for me and my family means heading to the movies to see the latest movie - Wonder Woman. Can’t wait!
I hope you all had a safe a merry Christmas yesterday, and hopefully not too sore of a head today!

It’s Christmas Eve - Eve ... otherwise known as the calm before the storm. Christmas won’t quite be the same for us this year - like many of you who may be affected by Covid restrictions - but we will do our best to make the most of it and still celebrate with the family we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by. We are counting our blessings that’s for sure!
Today my plan is to finish binge watching “The Undoing”, clean, tidy and start cooking 😅 what about you?

I had my last facial for the year yesterday, and I couldn’t help but reflect back on the year that was ... skin edition!
I remember getting ready for our trip to Malaysia/ Singapore at the beginning of the year and taking a selfie at the airport as a means of documenting our trip ... instead of excitement, all I could think of was how yuck my skin looked. I was makeup free and dying with insecurity.
Funnily enough, I never had bad skin growing up - infact I thought it was bloody good! - but over the last few years it’s just turned to s**t. Enter stage right Kerry has completely transformed my skin in 12 months and I could not be more grateful. While it may not be perfect, it’s perfect for me. I just adore bother Kerry and Jade at . As someone else whose careers (both personal styling and other) revolves around building strong lasting relationships, I value how much love, time, and effort they put into their clients. I left yesterday with a skip in my step and this eye mask as a little treat from Kerry. With Christmas right around the corner, if you’re looking at treating someone special in your life - or yourself for that matter - hand on my heart, I cannot recommend enough 😘😘
