Rebuilt from the ground up over several years has poured heart and soul into an absolute gem of a car. My job today was to decontaminate and final buff prior to its appearance at the up coming World Time Attack Challenge in Sydney.
Photo’s don’t do it justice but it’s absolutely gleaming now wearing Rupes Uno and CG 50/50.
This car is something special and a credit to its owner/builder.

First customer car for quite some time..

Jason reached out to me in hope of restoring some lustre into some faded and weather beaten factory vinal stickers and address some road rash on the missus’ other baby.

A full body decontamination, 2 stage correction and exterior detail brought the Mustang back to life with the red paint popping back into its original brilliance.

Sealed and protected with Rupes Uno.

So yeah, I’ve been away for a bit due to life and things but back on the tools this weekend with the initial stages of restoring this family heirloom. First was to find out what needs repainting by washing, clay barring everywhere possible, multi stage correction, sealing what’s good and cleaning the engine bay.
Finishing the day with the initial stages of sanding the bonnet and front bumper in preparation for a 2k respray of what couldn’t be restored via compounding.

Today I did a home visit to take on a much loved car that was really showing her age. We started with a high pressure blast followed by a snowstorm, clay bar and a 3 stage correction on the almost mat duco, finishing with a coat of 50/50 wax.
Engine bay clean, trim and general detailing was also carried out so the visual feast can once again match the aural feast that comes from the big V8.
Once again the mask line before and after shot on the bonnet really shows the condition of the paint before correction. The car actually changed colour! Really happy with the result.

6 months on and still looking amazing. This is the difference between a wax job or a polish compared to a proper paint correction. The results last, even with regular washing.

2009 Mazda 6 MZR-CD in for a quick detail this morning. 160,000 highway km's and beautifully looked after but I showed what is still left in the paint with a cut and wax of the front quarters and bonnet. I have to hand it to Mazda, the colours they use are beautiful. Black light and 5050 again giving the paint amazing depth and making the metallic fleck really pop in the sun.

I've been a bit slack getting these pics up but here she is.. Another long day bringing some life back to this classic bike starting with cleaning up the old chain, removing the surface corrosion from the wheels and polishing them back up before going anywhere near the paint. 2 stage correction followed by Blacklight and 5050 wax and an awful lot of plastic detailing lol
It must have done the trick because the bike was sold at higher than asking price less than a week later.
