Fair question, actually.

Collection day feels like the end of it. Truck comes, bin's empty, out of sight, sorted. But actually that's not where the story ends - it's barely halfway.

From there it gets separated into streams. Some of it's recovered, some recycled, some not. And a fair bit - plastic especially - ends up in landfill regardless of which bin it started in.

So the real question isn't just which bin. It's what happens once it lands.

That's the part we think about at Biogone.

When plastic first came to life over a century ago, it was considered revolutionary.

That's right. Lightweight. Durable. Affordable. Versatile.

It helped transform industries, improve healthcare, protect products during transport, and change the way the world manufactured and consumed everyday goods.

The challenge though... was what happened after we stopped needing it. What happened to all this plastic we were using more and more of once it left our hands?
