🎉 Today marks 40 years of the Steamatic Group. 🎉

From humble beginnings to more than 40 locations across Australia and New Zealand, our purpose has remained the same — saving property and restoring lives.

Each year, more than 30,000 claims are entrusted to our teams. Behind every one is a home, a business, a family, or a livelihood that needs to be restored quickly and with care.

Our work combines expert restoration with precise digital assessment. Real-time moisture readings, measurable data, and accurate reporting support informed decision-making for our clients. The result is faster restoration, reduced displacement, and lower claims costs.

Most importantly, it means people can return to their homes, businesses and lives sooner.

We are proud to be the team called upon when it matters most. For four decades, our people have shown up with skill, empathy and determination to help communities recover, rebuild and move forward.

40 years strong. And still restoring what matters most.

Take a guess: Do these images show fire damage or flood damage?
The answer is flood damage.

High water levels left this warehouse without power. Once the water receded, we were able to enter and take photos, though many were underexposed due to the lack of light.

When floodwaters enter a structure, the force behaves like a washing machine, twisting, churning, and redistributing everything inside. This type of incident typically falls under Category 3 water (black water) due to the contaminants, silt, and debris carried in. Porous building materials, contents, and finishes are often considered non-restorable.

Floods leave behind long-term issues such as structural compromise, corrosion, microbial amplification, and significant health hazards if not properly mitigated.

That’s where we come in.

Our IICRC-certified technicians are ready to restore sites rapidly, saving property and restoring lives and livelihoods.

Australia has officially recognised the AS-IICRC S500:2025 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration.

This nationally adopted standard brings consistency, scientific rigour, and international alignment to restoration practices across Australia.

For us, this isn’t a change; it’s validation. Our technicians have always trained and operated to international best practice, underpinned by world-class programs in water damage, fire damage, and mould remediation.

With the largest regional footprint in the industry and an already certified team nationwide, Steamatic sets the benchmark for restoration quality and trust.

Flood Advice message issued for Cooper Creek and Surrounding Areas

Full message text: https://data.eso.sa.gov.au/prod/ses/sam/685_Cooper_Creek.html?d=1756454148301

Floodwaters in the Cooper Creek are causing widespread flooding as the flood peak enters Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. The water level at Innamincka is below the Cordillo Downs Road causeway. Safety risks are still present as the water level continues to fall, and you should take care in the area. Floodwaters from the Cooper Creek have crossed the Birdsville Track near Etadunna and are entering Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Floodwaters in the Strzelecki Creek have filled Lake Blanche and continue to fill Lake Callabonna. Floodwaters also continue to cut parts of the Strzelecki Track in several locations. Continue to regularly monitor the Department for Infrastructure and Transport Outback Roads for further road closures. People who live in this warning area should remain aware of the potential for isolation should the floodwaters make the roads around your property impassable. Ensure you have adequate essential supplies, such as food and medications. Anyone planning to visit the area impacted by this flood event should plan carefully, carry adequate supplies, check weather and road conditions, and confirm accommodation arrangements in advance. You may become stranded as floodwaters continue to move.

Gundagai NSW flood: In 1852, the Murrumbidgee River flooded, claiming countless lives and inspiring remarkable acts of bravery by Wiradjuri heroes Yarri and Jacky Jacky. Their courage, now immortalised in a bronze sculpture, is a lasting reminder that resilience and community spirit can triumph over tragedy.

More than 170 years later, floods still test the Riverina. When water damage occurs today, our Wagga Wagga team is there, helping families and businesses recover, restore, and rebuild their lives.
