Not "just" a cleaner ❤️
❗️TO EVERY CLEANER OUT THERE❗️
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about our industry and the people in it, some of the stigma around it and I just want to say something:
We are not “just” cleaners.
And the sooner we stop saying that the better.
Because what we do goes way beyond a mop and a vacuum.
It goes beyond tidy benches and clean bathrooms.
It goes beyond “making things look nice.”
We walk into people’s actual lives.
Into their real mess, real emotions, real stories, real struggles.
We walk into homes where:
• parents are doing their best but completely burnt out
• people are unwell & can’t keep up
• someone is grieving & just surviving
• kids have destroyed the place because life is chaotic
• mental health has taken a hit & cleaning feels impossible
• work schedules are so heavy that home life falls behind
Instead of judging, we help.
Instead of commenting, we care.
Instead of adding pressure, we take it away
There is nothing “just” about that.
Cleaning takes strength.
It takes skill.
It takes speed.
It takes heart.
It takes emotional intelligence.
It takes pride and consistency.
And it takes a level of trust most jobs never even come close to.
Not everyone can do what cleaners do.
Not everyone can handle the emotional side of this job.
Not everyone can walk into a stranger’s home and create calm out of chaos.
Not everyone can be trusted the way we are.
Cleaning is a profession.
Cleaning is a service people rely on.
Cleaning changes people’s lives in ways we rarely talk about.
So to every cleaner out there:
Whether you’re new, experienced, working two hours a week, full time or running a business;
You make a difference.
You are appreciated.
You are needed.
You are trusted.
And you deserve to feel proud of the work you do.
Stand tall.
Be proud of what you do.
Your job matters.
Your role is important.
And your impact is bigger than most people will ever realise.
You are NOT “just” cleaners.
You’re hardworking, caring professionals who make homes and lives better every single day.
From one cleaner to another, you are valued, appreciated and absolutely worthy of pride in what you do. 🫶🏻❤️
