A number of people have asked whether this will make the air cleaner. This may come from ADBRI's claim RDF reduces the flame temperature and lowers Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions.

ADBRI's stack testing analysis at the last Community Liaison Group meeting suggest any real reduction is marginal.

In any case ADBRI's reports to the National Pollution Inventory ( plotted above) show NOx emissions generally increasing over time - probably due to increased production.

CRH/ADBRI/Adelaide Brighton Cement are seeking an extension to increase the amount RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) used in the plant.

The company wants to increase plastic levels in the calciner and also start using it in the kiln. The aim is to eventually fuel the whole plant with RDF.

Consultation sessions to seek your feedback are scheduled at the Semaphore Bowling Club:

Sunday 29th March: 12 -6pm
Tuesday 30th March: 3-8pm

Really! - just what threat could binocular-toting birdwatchers pose?

We're told by the Australian Submarine Agency that access is permitted right up to boundary of both the the UK and US nuclear sub yards - but apparently the risks are too great in Australia.

And what sort of twisted governance uses the the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, not any security or radiation protection measure to convey the message?

Recent AUKUS approval confirms we'll lose access to 50% of our open space on northern Peninsula and 3.5 hectares of seagrass.
Falie Reserve is no more and Mutton Cove to be surrounded by Sub Yard.
