The big job I helped out with yesterday at the Smithfield Panthers Football Club.
The Kitchen was given a thoroughly deep deep clean.and boy did it need it.
There were at least 5 of us cleaning this kitchen throughout the afternoon.
They say "many hands make light work" this may or may not be an accurate statement....the jury is still out on that one!! 😂
It still took us 7-8 hrs to clean and we still had to clean the deep fryers you can see on the floor and mop the floor.
We took everything out of the cupboards from dishes, to pantry items like sauces, and gravies, all the stuff that gets used on game days pretty much. We washed all the pots, pans, plasticware and containers, jugs and funnels, you name it we cleaned it or washed it. And we also threw out a lot of stuff that was either out of date or just wasn't needed.
The grease trap was cleaned the bench tops and walls, the inside of every cupboard, the cupboard doors inside and out. The oven, the fridge, the freezer the microwave and hot water earn.
It was a lot of fun and felt good to be giving back to the local community even if I was paid for the work I did. Makes me think about wanting to volunteer at the club next year.
