My story and what I offer to discerning motoring enthusiasts, new detailers and the general public

Hi I’m Matthew Gibb, founder of Automotive Surface Care Australia, my love of motor vehicles and caring for the surfaces of these vehicles stems right back to 1992 when I purchased my first car which was built in 1989. I really wanted to take care of it properly but didn't really have a clue how to. Later that year I met a pro detailer that had been working for my father detailing his fleet of work vehicles and I asked him to teach me what products to use, in what order and how often. After a while this then turned into a serious hobby for me but it was not until 1995 with the purchase of my dream car, a 1972 Ford XA Falcon 351 coupe that my passion really ignited. Countless years later and after testing a total of one hundred and thirty five brands of products, alot of equipment, learning from industry leaders and other professionals including a fourty year veteran of the detailing industry who is now a product chemist and possibly the leading paintwork care expert in the southern hemisphere, I started my own business in 2006 offering auto detailing services that were quality focused and delivered longer lasting results than my competition.

​In April 2019 I launched my newest business. With an immense passion for classic, prestige, exotics and show cars and automotive paintwork, my mission is to mentor and teach my knowledge and skills to the new breed of professional detailers and people who are new to the industry and have recently started their business or are going to be in the near future.
