My rant for the day like it or not .
🚨 ADELAIDE CAR OWNERS — PLEASE READ BEFORE SPENDING YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY! 🚨
I recently had a customer come to me for advice after receiving quotes from two well-known detailers — one on Main North Road and another in the northern suburbs.
The quotes? $400 and $480 for paint correction and ceramic coating.
After inspecting the vehicle myself, I was absolutely stunned by its condition.
In my professional opinion, this vehicle required a minimum Stage 3 paint correction, and I personally would not recommend applying a ceramic coating in its current condition.
There were areas with no paint remaining on the roof and door handles.
So I have to ask — how can anyone recommend paint correction and ceramic coating without properly assessing what the vehicle actually needs?
A ceramic coating isn’t a magic fix for damaged paint. And paint correction isn’t simply a quick polish before applying a coating.
The preparation, the condition of the paint and the quality of the workmanship matter.
I’m sick of seeing car owners potentially paying good money without understanding what they’re actually getting for it.
