Unfortunately due to a large amount of damage caused to our laundromat, we will be closed tomorrow the 14th of September for repairs.

Hi All, just a little PSA.

Recently we have been finding notes left on machines by customers advising that machines aren't taking correct change or that machines aren't working as they should. We completely understand the good intention in this, we are a community laundrette and we love that people are thinking about the experience of the next person. However, more often than not, the machines are functioning correctly and it's just a case of user error that can cause the machine not to function as intended.

A common cause of a machine not taking a specific coin or coins jamming in slots can be damage to the coin itself or inserting one coin too quickly after another. It's important to make sure all coins being used are in good condition before trying to insert them into our machines.

We can understand the utter frustration of a machine not working as we intended, especially when you have already inserted your money into the machine. However, repeatedly bashing on the electronic keypad and shaking the machine does not help the situation. Commercial laundry equipment is very expensive and if anyone is caught damaging equipment within the laundry, that person will be held liable for the cost of its repair.

For this specific reason we have left a contact number inside the laundromat, incase of any machine faults or other emergency issues. We encourage you to call us! I will personally try my hardest to resolve the issue over the phone or get to the laundromat to resolve the problem for you. If I don't answer, make sure to leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as humanly possible.

Hi all, due to quite an unpleasant incident yesterday we feel it necessary to advise all our customers that the Anderson Walk Takeaway isn't obligated to change money for anyone. They do so off their own back and when they have the change readily available to do so.

For ease of use and to avoid any trouble, it is best to organise your change before you come to use our machines. We understand that this can be cumbersome at times but unfortunately because of the high number of break ins and vandalism in the area we aren't able to provide a change machine on site for our customers.

We are doing our best to update the shop and provide you the best service possible, in the near future we will be looking to upgrade our machines and provide you with wireless card facilities to make ease of use much more efficient.

We appreciate your valued custom and we are always here to help and listen to your suggestions.
